Our cats love to sitaround like this. Their feet are tucked in and the only things sticking out are their heads and tails. My family has long been major fans of the artist, B. Kliban. He draws the most wonderful cats. In one of his books, he draws a cat sitting in this position and then draws a picture of a meatloaf next to it. They do look strikingly similar. The girls love to point out when the cats are "meatloafing" or ask if someone wants a slice. Cats can be so funny and they don't even try. If you do a google search for Kliban cat meatloaf, his drawing of a cat vs. a meatloaf comes up.
So without further ado...I bring you...Pretty the meatloaf.

LOL 'Meatloafing' - oh that is perfect! I've had cats all my life and that is the first expression that really does describe it :)
That's so funny because growing up we always used to say our cats were "sitting like a meatloaf" to describe the same pose! Wondering how long ago Kliban drew the work and if my mother stole the phrase...
I heart Kliban
Our cats also "meatloafing" everyday.
I'll show you their meatloafing pictures on my blog someday! ;-)
And one of my cats likes to lie on the floor like an eel, with her legs stucked and made her neck long.
I know exactly what picture you are talking about and I actually call my cat a meatloaf because of that! Aren't they cute when they sit like that?!!! Your kitty kinda looks like Hobbes.
Awww, that's a really cute photo (and model!). I love kitty-cats.
That cat looks ready to pounce on something or someone!
